Potatoes
Earliest harvest date: July 27th
Jentzsch Kearl Farms grows many potato varieties, the majority stemming from the famous Burbank. Like our farm, the Burbank came from small and humble beginnings. In the mid/late 1800s, young plant enthusiast, Luther Burbank, started to grow his own potatoes by genetically crossing popular potato varieties of the day. He stumbled upon what is now the largest potato cultivar in the US and is likely the most valuable heirloom potato in the world.
Sugar Beets

When fully grown, a sugar beet is about a foot long, weighs 2-5 pounds, and is about 18% sucrose. Beet sugar represents about 54% of domestically produced sugar.
Corn, Hay, Dairy, and more!
In the dairy industry, it is often said that cows eat better than humans do. Dairy nutritionists calculate a cow’s ration down to the very ‘t.’ Only the very best and highest quality feed and forage is fed. We take pride in growing such high-quality feed for our local dairy partners.
